About Us
Hi, I'm Robert — and I'm finally the boss.
After years buried in corporate culture, watching creativity get managed into oblivion by committees and quarterly reviews, I made a change. The economy had a lot to say about it too — the kind of nudge that comes with a side of "what now?" when you're a certain age and the workforce suddenly has other plans for you.
Turns out, "what now" was this. Rob's Creative Studio, based in Raleigh, NC, is my answer to a question I'd been putting off for too long: what would I make if I could make anything?
I design every puzzle, desk mat, and blanket in this shop myself — working with AI tools that I direct, prompt, and refine until the image is exactly what I had in mind. It's a creative process, not a copy-paste one. Every piece goes through my eye before it goes out the door. Think of it as a one-person studio with a very fast, very literal apprentice.
The designs lean cozy. Botanical, whimsical, textured, warm. The kind of imagery that makes a room feel like a place you actually want to be in. I like puzzles that feel meditative to assemble and beautiful enough to frame when you're done. I like desk mats that make your workspace feel intentional. I like blankets that look like someone put thought into them — because someone did.
I have two dogs who supervise operations from the couch. Muffet is a chow/beagle/French bulldog mix who approaches everything with maximum suspicion. Sadie — a Lab/Rottweiler mix — is my dog in the truest sense of the word: she follows me room to room, parks herself at my feet while I work, and has strong opinions about my lunch choices. Neither of them has a design degree, but they're excellent at napping on completed puzzles.
I disagreed with the boss for years without saying it out loud. Now I'm the boss, and I try not to talk to myself in public. So far, so good.
Thanks for being here. Every order means something — it's not a warehouse fulfilling a ticket, it's a one-person shop in Raleigh trying to make things worth your time and wall space.
